ग्रेटर नोएडा। नोएडा में हुए इंजीनियर अंकित चौहान मर्डर केस में सीबीआई
और एसटीएफ को लंबे समय बाद कामयाबी मिल गई है। एसटीएफ ने घटना को अंजाम देने वाले
दो बदमाशों को अरेस्ट किया है, जबकि एक आरोपी की करीब चार माह पहले मौत हो चुकी।
उनकी निशानदेही पर हत्या में बरामद होंडा एकार्ड कार को भी बरामद कर लिया है।
एसटीएफ के अधिकारियों की मानें तो फॉर्च्यूनर कार लूटने के लिए घटना को अंजाम
दिया गया था। सीबीआई ने इन हत्यारों पर पांच लाख का इनाम रखा हुआ था। पकड़ा गया
एक आरोपी दिल्ली से सिविल इंजीनियरिंग कर चुका है। इस मामले में अनिल दुजाना का
नाम भी सामने आया है। पकड़ा गया एक आरोपी अनिल दुजाना गैंग के एक सदस्य को कार
लूट व चोरी की गाड़ियां बेचता था। एसटीएफ उसे अरेस्ट करने का प्रयास कर रही
है।
मालूम हो कि 13 अप्रैल 2015 को सेक्टर—76 बरौला बाईपास के पास में
इंजीनियर अंकित चौहान की हत्या कर दी थी। घटना के दौरान अंकित का दोस्त साक्षी
गगन दुधौरिया भी साथ था। बदमाशों ने फॉर्च्यूनर कार को लूटने के लिए होडा एकार्ड
कार को आगे लगाकर रोक लिया। बदमाशों ने अंकित चौहान को कार से उतरने के लिए कहा
था, लेकिन अंकित कार से नहीं उतरे। इसके चलते बदमाशों ने गोली मारकर उनकी हत्या
कर दी।
पुलिस के लिए बन गया था चुनौती
अंकित
चौहान मर्डर केस का खुलासा करना यूपी पुलिस के लिए चुनौती बना गया था। परिजनों की
मांग पर यह केस सीबीआई दिल्ली को ट्रॉसफर कर दिया गया। खुलासा न होने पर सीबीआई
ने घटना में शामिल बदमाशों पर पांच लाख का इनाम घोषित कर दिया। आईजी एसटीएफ
अमिताभ यश ने बताया कि सीबीआई ने एसटीएफ से सहयोग मांगा था।

एसटीएफ आईजी अमिताभ यश ने प्रेस कांफ्रेंस के दौरान बताया कि अंकित के
मर्डर केस में होंडा कार का यूज किया गया था। एसटीएफ होंडा कार की तलाश कर रही
थी। जांच के दौरान होंडा एकार्ड का नंबर यूपी 14 बीए 2300 सामने आया। एसटीएफ की
टीम ने नंबर के आधार पर कार के मालिक से बातचीत की तो उसने बताया कार को
गाजियाबाद के शशांक जादौन को बेच दिया है। घटना के दौरान बदमाशों ने कार की फर्जी
नंबर प्लेट लगाई थी। उन्होंने बताया कि जादौन के बारे में छानबीन की गई तो उसकी
संलिप्ता सामने आई। उस दौरान शशांक जयपुर था। एसटीएफ और सीबीआई की टीम जयपुर
पहुंची तो वहां से मुखाबिर से सूचना मिली कि वह दिल्ली निकल गया है। दिल्ली के
धौलाकुआं के पास में एसटीएफ ने शशांक जादौन को जाल बिछाकर अरेस्ट कर लिया। पूछताछ
के दौरान उसने घटना को अंजाम देना कबूल कर लिया।

एसटीएफ आईजी अमिताभ यश ने बताया कि शशांक जादौन विजय नगर गाजियाबाद का
रहने वाला है। उन्होंने बताया कि पूताछ के दौरान शशांक ने कबूल किया है कि घटना
के दौरान श़ास्त्री नगर निवासी पंकज और मनोज कुमार निवासी विजयनगर भी शामिल था।
एसटीएफ ने शशांक और मनोज को अरेस्ट कर सीबीआई को सौंप दिया है। इन बदमाशों ने
अंकित की फॉर्च्यूनर कार को होंडा एकार्ड से ओवरटेक कर रुकवाया था। इसी दौरान
अंकित ने कार को बैक कर भागने का प्रयास किया था। उन्होंने बताया कि उसी दौरान
शशांक ने पंकज की लाइसेंसी रिवाॅल्वर से गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी। फिलहाल गिरफ्तार
आरोपियों को सीबीआई को सौंप दिया गया है।
एसटीएफ आईजी अमिताभ यश ने बताया कि घटना में शामिल पंकज की
करीब 4 माह पहले मौत हो चुकी है। मल्टीआरगन फेलियर होने की वजह से कविनगर के
सर्वोदय अस्पताल में उसकी मौत हुई थी। पूछताछ के दौरान सामने आया है कि अंकित की
हत्या पंकज की लाइसेंसी रिवाॅल्वर से की गई थी। उसे बाबा गन हाउस गाजियाबाद से
खरीदा गया था। एसटीएफ अभी मामले की जांच कर रही है.

employee Ankit Chauhan, who was chased and gunned down on an April afternoon
in the middle of a Noida road.
It became one of the most sensational cases in recent times after the software
engineer’s family suspected a conspiracy in which his wife of 34 days,
Ameesha, was involved, and the investigation eventually passed to CBI.
But police’s special task force (STF), which claimed to have cracked the case,
said on Friday 27-year-old Chauhan’s murder was the result of an act of car
robbery and the software engineer was a random target who happened to be
driving a Fortuner that day, the specific vehicle that the robbers were
looking for.
They ruled out all other conspiracy theories.
The arrested DCE alumnus is Shashank Jadon (25), who the STF said had briefly
dabbled in the real estate business after his completing his BTech in 2014,
lost money, taken a loan of Rs 4 lakh and was struggling to repay it.
Jadon had allegedly tied up with Manoj Kumar (35), then a mechanic who now
drives an Ola cab and Pankaj, the moneylender.
The trio, STF
officers said, spotted Chauhan’s Fortuner on April 13 afternoon and chased him
in Jadon’s Honda Accord.
In Sector 76, around 4.30pm when Chauhan
was headed for his house in Prateek Wisteria after meeting Ameesha at her
Sector 135 office, Jadon managed to ambush him.
He shot at Chauhan
after the Accord had managed to overtake and corner the Fortuner. The techie
recesived four bullet injuries in his neck and hands and bled to death.
Chauhan’s friend Gagan Dudhauriya was also in the Fortuner but was unhurt.
But Jadon and his aides left without the Fortuner, which was the
apparent motive of their crime. The plan was to sell it to a man called Satte
in Bulandshahr.
Chauhan’s family had suspected the involvement of
Dudhauriya and Ameesha. Unhappy with the police probe, Chauhan’s father
Dharmveer had on May 2 last year moved the Allahabad high court, which
transferred the inquiry to the CBI.
On Friday, Chauhan senior
remained far from convinced about the case being cracked.
“There
are several loopholes in the police theory. If this was a case of murder with
intent of loot, why did not they rob the car? Why was only Ankit hit with
multiple bullets?” he said, saying the police to investigate if there was a
connection between Jadon and Ameesha.
Jadon, a resident of Pratap
Vihar in Ghaziabad, has a good academic record, and had scored 96% in his
Class XII boards. Manoj is from Vijay Nagar in Ghaziabad. Pankaj, whose idea
it apparently was to steal a Fortuner, sell it and repay the loan, dies
earlier this year of multiple-organ failure.
Catching Jadon, said
STF IG Amitabh Yash, took nearly two years because he had rigged the number
plate of the Accord and changed a ‘3’ to ‘2’ to throw cops off his track.
Eventually, police realised that after scanning a massive database of
Accord numbers in the region.
Dudhariya had also told cops the gunman
had a tattoo on his left hand. That was the other vital clue.
Yash
said CCTV footage had shown the Accord’s registration number as UP 14 BA –
2300. But inquiries showed that registration number had not been issued to an
Accord at all. So, they zeroed in on the nearest match UP 14 BA – 2200, which
belonged to an Accord. Its owner in Ghaziabad told them he had sold it to
Jadon.
Jadon was traced to Jaipur. A CBI and STF team went there
but found he had left for Delhi. They finally got to him at Dhaula Kuan in
Delhi. He was still using the Accord with the rigged number plate.
Interrogating him led the cops to the cab driver.
According to the
STF, Jadon said he had taken his licensed revolver and another countrymade gun
with him when the trio set out for Greater Noida, looking to steal a car. They
found a Fortuner but did not target it because the place wasn’t right.
They spotted Chauhan’s parked SUV near the Accenture office in Noida and waited.
When Chauhan was on an empty stretch, they made their move. Near Barola village,
Shashank got off and signaled to
Chauhan to come out. But he
reversed the SUV and tried to speed away.
That was when Jadon opened
fire. But they fled without the Fortuner as people had started gathering there.
The revolver was later sold away to Baba Gun House in Ghaziabad.
